On November 12, the launch ceremony for the book An Oral Narration of the Pingtan History by A hundred Artists, a latest work by Shanghai Normal University Professor Tang Lixing, was held Shanghai Normal University. This work is an initial deliverable of the major project under the National Social Science Fund.
Professor Tang believes that more and more scholars are focusing on the daily life and individual fate of common people. His study explores the interaction between Suzhou Pingtan and Jiangnan Society to reflect the evolvement and changes of an era, a place, a form of opera as well as a population.
